I am a dedicated museum professional with a strong foundation in history, anthropology, and museum and gallery studies. My academic background, which includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from McGill University and a postgraduate certificate in Museum and Gallery Studies from Georgian College, provides a solid foundation for my work, grounded in a deep understanding of cultural, historical, and ethical contexts.
Throughout my training and professional experience, I have curated and installed exhibitions, managed collections and incoming acquisitions, and worked extensively with collections management software, including PastPerfect and Catalogue It. My hands-on experience as a Collections and Archival volunteer and intern at the Orillia Museum of Art and History enabled me to develop practical skills in collections care, cataloguing, accessioning, and exhibition preparation, all of which are essential to effective museum operations.
A central passion of mine is working to amplify Queer histories and aid in the representation of marginalized voices within the archival and museum sectors. I am deeply committed to addressing the gaps and silences in traditional collections by prioritizing inclusive, community-centered approaches to curation and collections management. This mission guides my professional goals and inspires me to advocate for systemic change within cultural institutions.
