Collections Assistant Internship

Orillia Museum of Art and History – Summer 2025

  • Audited and verified donation records and temporary custody receipts for 2024 acquisitions, including items from the Gordon Lightfoot Estate Collection, ensuring accuracy and compliance with collections policies
  • Catalogued, organized, described, and digitized artifacts using the web-based PastPerfect database, strengthening skills in collections management and digital archiving
  • Created programming initiatives including “OMAH Digs”
  • Retrieved, prepared, and condition-checked artifacts for exhibitions, storage, and programming needs, demonstrating careful handling and object preservation practices
  • Researched, updated, and conducted Gangs, Guns, and Grog tour
  • Catalogued, photographed, and organized items for Kerslake Pottery Auction
  • OMAH’s ambassador at the Mariposa Folk Festival
  • Created 2025 Pride Poster for the Orillia Museum of Art and History

Student Archivist

Alex Dworkin Canadian Jewish Archives – Montreal, Quebec 2020

  • McGill-led internship that offered student assistance to the Director of the Canadian Jewish Archives
  • Indexed over 30 hours of audio tapes pertaining to the unique history of Canadian Jewish women during WWII
  • Identified material of historical relevance and educational potential

Archival and Collections Volunteer

Orillia Museum of Art and History – Orillia, Ontario 2024 – 2025

  • Collaborated with the History Coordinator on archival and collections projects, including cataloguing, preservation, and storage of new acquisitions; developed object IDs for “found in collection” artifacts and conducted research to contextualize large, unprocessed collections.
  • Contributed to the curation of OMAH’s 25th anniversary exhibition, supporting artifact selection,
    interpretation, and display design including the feature of Old Barns, Miners Bay by Group of Seven artist Franklin Carmichael

Student Representative on Program Advisory Committee

Georgian College – Barrie, Ontario 2024

  • Appointed by Program Coordinator to be a sitting member of the PAC for Museum and Gallery Studies Program at Georgian College
  • Participated in meetings with Georgian College Senior Administration and museum directors from across Ontario
  • Worked to guide curriculum development and ensure course content for future students is inspiring and relevant
